Bethesda's flagship fantasy role-playing series returns to PC with a new storyline and more detailed, open-world
environment. Taking place centuries after the events chronicled in 2006's Oblivion, the game finds the continent of Tamriel in
chaos after the High King of Skyrim is found murdered. Yet political turmoil is only the beginning of the problems. Dragons,
long believed to be a relic of the past, are now flying across the lands and threaten to tear away the fabric of civilization in one
fell swoop.

Players return to the best-loved realm in all of fantasy literature for a new epic of monsters, magic, and brutal medieval melee,
in Warner Bros.' Lord of the Rings: War in the North. The game follows three player-designed heroes on an original adventure
through the lands of Middle-earth, based on J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy and the movies that followed. In the
main online cooperative mode, three players form a new Fellowship to explore and battle through the story together,
controlling their own custom heroes. Character choices include Elf, Dwarf, and Human, each with innate strengths and
weakness that complement the fighting styles of the other two.
The medieval-themed offshoot to EA's ultra-popular life development sim gets an expansion filled with chivalry and
swashbuckling in Sims Medieval: Pirates & Nobles. New quests abound when the Pirates of Aarbyville and the Nobles of
Tredony come to town, engaging in swordfights, spinning tales of hidden treasure, and embarking on romantic conquests
over the course of a single story arc.
Fable III is an action-oriented role-playing game of classic swords and sorcery, designed around a deep and encompassing
system of character development. Player decisions constantly influence the advancement of the character's magic and
combat abilities, as well as the development of personality traits and social qualities. In addition to earning gold and
experience, and gaining upgrades to combat abilities, a Fable character also develops personally and morally.
Players return to the azure waters of the Caribbean for more open-world buccaneering in Age of Pirates 2: City of Abandoned
Ships. Gamers can stake a claim to the seven seas and attempt to become the most feared pirate in the world, or they can
choose a more structured route by joining the French, English, Spanish, or Dutch navies. Players seek out hidden
civilizations, plunder merchant ships, attack fortified ports, engage in naval battles, and even square off in toe-to-toe combat
through forty distinct quests that take them from dense South American jungles to the shores of Bermuda.
Thousands of players join together online, to protect the world from inter-planar calamity, and to carry on a brutal civil war
fueled by the essence of life and death. Rift is a persistent-world role-playing game with solo and group-oriented quests,
flexible character-class customization, and an original fantasy setting. The world of Telara is special because of its proximity
to other planes of existence. Ancient protections have recently been unbalanced, allowing these other planes to collide with
Telara, creating violent rifts which offer passage back and forth to other realms of reality.
Death's daughter, Scarlett, journeys into the heart of 16th century Venice to stop an evil necromancer and his undead
underlings in this action/role-playing game from German developer Deck 13. Scarlett can equip axes, swords, war hammers,
and other weapons to slay her enemies. Combat involves pressing a button to swing, and then timing subsequent button
presses to string together powerful combos.
This compilation from Atari includes a full version of the critically acclaimed action RPG Neverwinter Nights 2, as well as its
expansions Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer and Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir.
The World of WarCraft changes forever with the coming of Cataclysm. The earth quakes, oceans burst forth, and well-known
landscapes crack and crumble, as the ancient dragon aspect Deathwing makes his destructive return to the mortal realms.
Unlike earlier WoW expansions, which add new continents for players to explore, Cataclysm reshapes the game's original
world of Azeroth, permanently altering many familiar locations across the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.
The saga of Myrtania continues in Arcania: Gothic 4, an action-heavy third-person 3D RPG in the vein of The Elder Scrolls IV:
Oblivion, where a traditional fantasy setting provides the backdrop as players explore a world torn apart by civil nwar and
constant battles against orcs. King Rhobar III managed to peacefully reunite most of the land, and he set sail for the Southern
Islands in an attempt to finish the job. But during the journey, the king seemingly descended into madness, sending his
close companions Diego, Gorn, Milten, and Lester into exile, and creating a power vacuum that once again led to war.
Sony Online's EverQuest II: All-in-One Pack lets players explore the persistent world of Norrath as well as the content found
in three adventure packs and the first four expansion packs. "Desert of Flames" introduces competitive battles within
dedicated arenas, while "Kingdom of Sky" incorporates new enhancements, abilities, and level ranges. "Echoes of Faydwer"
features a continent available for all players to enjoy, regardless of level, as well as a new flying race called the "Fae."
DreamCatcher Interactive continues its stewardship of The Guild 2 with an add-on that takes the series to the dawn of the
Renaissance. There are nine new character classes for players to select, including careers as a mercenary, an undertaker,
an entertainer, or an innkeeper, while two new scenarios send gamers into the Alps and the Netherlands. Maps in The Guild
2: Renaissance are up to four times larger than the maps in the original game, and the title system has been re-engineered
to make players supply their King with troops or fight in battles themselves.
Players pilot giant walking "Wanzer" war vehicles into futuristic battle in Front Mission Evolved, the fourth game in the
Square-Enix series to reach North American consoles. The title's "evolution" from previous Front Mission games marks a
major switch in playing style, from turn-based tactical combat to fast-paced third-person shooting. Missions are set in
sprawling urban environments, where collateral damage can be a factor. As they gain experience and treasure by
accomplishing objectives, players can purchase custom improvements for their Wanzer walkers.
Billed as an "espionage RPG," Alpha Protocol casts you in the role of secret agent Michael Thorton as he embarks on a
series of international operations set in Rome, Moscow, Tai Pei, Saudi Arabia, and other exotic locales. From inside
computer-equipped safe houses around the world, you'll converse with your handlers, glean intelligence, review dossiers,
and receive new missions.
Sony Online Entertainment's long-running MMORPG EverQuest II returns with a sixth expansion, this time sending gamers
on a variety of epic journeys throughout the land of Odus. The level cap has been raised to 90, there are 400 new quests and
a dozen new dungeons spread across two new overland zones, and players can choose from 2,000 new items, weapons,
and pieces of armor.

set of adventures. The game features 125 new quests, dozens of new beasts to battle, and 20 new weapons and armor sets.
According to publisher DreamCatcher Interactive, the additions amount to 15 to 20 hours of new gameplay.
Trine is a puzzle-heavy platformer with a mild fantasy storyline that finds gamers frequently switching between three
characters in order to traverse its side-scrolling levels. The game's puzzles are physics based, and each of the characters
offers a specific skillset to help overcome obstacles and defeat enemies.
An RPG set in a classic fantasy world full of goblins, orcs, ogres, and trolls, Legend: Hand of God places an emphasis on
heavy combat and action. Players begin as a young apprentice, who, upon returning from a rite of passage, discovers that all
of his brethren have been massacred. Gamers can develop their character as a warrior, a mage, or a hybrid of the two, but
whatever choice they make, the result will be the same -- massive retaliatory carnage.
One of Greek mythology's memorable tales makes its PC debut with Rise of the Argonauts. Guide Jason, the king of Iolcus,
on a blood-soaked quest to avenge the death of his fiancée. Sail to multiple islands to seek out the legendary Golden
Fleece, which has the power to bring back the dead, and enlist the aid of the ancient world's celebrated heroes to complete
your goals. Structured like an action role-playing game, Rise of the Argonauts emphasizes violent, combo-driven combat
sequences with the ability to switch weapons on the fly and unleash attacks that can decapitate and eviscerate foes with one
mighty swing.
